One New COVID-19 Case in Hwasun... Jeonnam Patient No. 1819
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] One additional COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do.
According to the county on the 20th, a resident who showed suspected COVID-19 symptoms such as chills, sore throat, muscle pain, and cough underwent diagnostic testing the previous day and was ultimately confirmed positive.
The confirmed case, an employee at a spa facility located in Naju City, was classified as Jeonnam 1819 (Hwasun 91).
The infection route of Jeonnam 1819 is currently under investigation.
Upon receiving the confirmation notification, the county immediately completed disinfection of the confirmed patient's visited locations and secured CCTV footage to conduct an in-depth epidemiological investigation.
A county official stated, "With the vacation season, movement from the metropolitan area to non-metropolitan areas has increased, causing the 4th wave in the metropolitan area to rapidly spread to non-metropolitan regions. We ask residents to refrain from visiting the metropolitan area and other regions as much as possible and to strictly follow quarantine rules such as 'no private gatherings of five or more people' and wearing masks."
