Shinsegae Food Hosts 'Olban Summer Brand Week' to Celebrate 5th Anniversary of 'Olban' Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Shinsegae Food's home meal replacement (HMR) brand 'Olban' announced on the 20th that it will hold the 'Olban Summer Brand Week' to celebrate its 5th anniversary since launch.
Launched in September 2016, Shinsegae Food's HMR brand 'Olban' introduced products such as Juicy King Dumplings and Juicy Shrimp King Dumplings as its first offerings, achieving sales of 10 billion KRW within three months of launch, confirming market potential. Since then, it expanded its sub-brands by introducing industry-first air fryer-exclusive convenience foods 'Olban Air Cook' and snack-type convenience foods 'Olban Hanjan Halle,' expanding its product lineup to over 200 items. As a result, Olban's HMR sales are expected to reach 100 billion KRW this year, a tenfold increase compared to 2016, marking its 5th anniversary.
To commemorate this, during the two-week 'Olban Summer Brand Week' held until the 1st of next month at 20 Emart Traders nationwide, Shinsegae Food will sell eight representative Olban HMR products?including six frozen foods such as Glutinous Hot Dog, Old-fashioned Whole Chicken, Guobaorou, Life King Dumplings, Chicken Tenders, and Hamburg Steak, as well as two refrigerated foods like Vietnamese Pho and Young Radish Kimchi?at an average discount of 15%. Additionally, a large event booth where customers can find all Olban HMR products at once will be set up inside Traders stores to enhance purchasing convenience.
