"Empowering ESG" CJ OnStyle Launches Electric Vehicle Broadcast with No Sales Commission Fee
CJ OnStyle Startup Incubation Program Final Selection 'Semisysco EV Z'
The Only Compact Electric Vehicle in Korea Capable of Highway Driving
Supporting SME Market Expansion + Promoting Eco-Friendly Consumption + Strengthening ESG Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] CJ OnStyle announced on the 20th that it will introduce the two-seater ultra-compact electric vehicle 'Semisysco EV Z.' This product was the final selection of CJ OnStyle's win-win program 'Challenge Startup' and will be first showcased on the commission-free broadcast '1 Company 1 Premium Product.'
CJ OnStyle stated, "We judged that the market potential for electric vehicles is high and that the 'EV Z' is an excellent electric vehicle with outstanding technology," adding, "Therefore, it was finally selected for the excellent SME and startup incubation program 'Challenge! Startup,' and we plan to provide support funds of 30 million KRW."
CJ OnStyle has been selling eco-friendly electric vehicles that align with its ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management policy since 2018, before customer demand for eco-friendly mobility began to rise significantly. At that time, it was the first to introduce ultra-compact electric vehicles such as Daechang Motors' 'Danigo' and Renault Samsung's 'Twizy' on TV home shopping. In April, it launched a special long-term rental electric vehicle broadcast for the first time, and now with the release of the 'EV Z,' it plans to lead the popularization of electric vehicles.
CJ OnStyle will introduce the 'EV Z' for the first time on the T-commerce channel CJ OnStyle Plus at 5:15 AM on the 21st. Including the launch broadcast on the 21st, a total of five broadcasts will be held on the 22nd, 25th, 26th, and 27th through the commission-free program '1 Company 1 Premium Product.' Based on customer response, it plans to also showcase the vehicle on the TV live channel.
The 'EV Z' is the only ultra-compact electric vehicle in Korea capable of highway driving. It can be conveniently charged using a household 220V outlet and can travel up to 150 km on a single charge. It features a smartphone key setting function instead of a traditional car key, making management easy. Electric vehicle subsidies of up to approximately 12 million KRW are available, along with benefits such as reductions in automobile tax, public parking fees, and road tolls, making it economical. It is a hatchback model (with no rear trunk and rear doors that open upwards) and offers quality assurance for up to 8 years (battery pack basis) at over 520 Auto Oasis service centers nationwide. This product combines practicality and economy, ranking first in sales in the domestic compact electric vehicle segment (based on January to May this year).
Lee Ho-beom, Head of External Cooperation at CJ OnStyle, said, "CJ OnStyle's win-win program discovers excellent products and provides broadcasting opportunities, simultaneously boosting company sales and brand awareness," adding, "We will continue ESG management to ensure that innovative products from SMEs successfully settle in the market and grow."
