[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Blue House stated that it will "take action once the authenticity is confirmed" in response to a petition claiming that a group presumed to be teachers is systematically indoctrinating students with feminism through a website.
On the 19th, the Blue House responded to the national petition titled "Request for Investigation of Organized Feminism Website," stating, "We are currently verifying the authenticity and facts."
The petitioners claimed that groups of teachers have been using the website to indoctrinate students with political ideology (feminism) and urged for the punishment of those involved. The petition garnered 310,000 supporters.
The Blue House said, "On May 11, the Ministry of Education officially requested investigative cooperation from the National Police Agency, and the police have begun investigating the issues raised in the petition," adding, "It was confirmed that the website posts cited as evidence were written from overseas IP addresses."
