Samsung Electronics Launches New 'The Wall' Next-Generation Commercial Display
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Samsung Electronics launched a new commercial display product based on Micro LED technology, 'The Wall' (model name IWA), in the global market on the 19th.
The Wall is a next-generation display that applies a bezel-less modular design, allowing for customizable designs. The new product has evolved one step further from the existing model through three major changes. First, a newly installed 'Micro AI Processor' composed of 16 neural networks upscales the input video to the optimal image quality suitable for The Wall.
Secondly, by applying new elements approximately 40% smaller than the previous product, it boasts more perfect black and gradation (the gradient difference connecting bright and dark areas) expression. Lastly, it features differentiated ultra-large and ultra-high-definition specifications such as ▲custom large screen production for customers with sizes over 1000 inches ▲support for 8K resolution (based on a 16:9 screen) and 120Hz high refresh rate ▲maximum horizontal resolution of 16K (15,360 x 2,160).
In addition, technologies that were previously well-received, such as the '4-PBP (Picture By Picture)' function that divides the screen into four parts to simultaneously play four different contents, maximum brightness of 1600 nits, 20-bit gradation expression, and HDR 10+ support, have been retained.

It can be installed not only in concave and convex shapes but also in S-shaped and L-shaped forms, attached to ceilings, or installed using a hanging method. It can also be aesthetically installed on slanted walls.
Furthermore, the design connects each module without cables, significantly reducing installation time, and supplies power and data through a docking method that connects pin terminals attached to the cabinet, enhancing installation convenience. Additionally, the new The Wall product received blue light reduction eye protection certification from the global standards certification body, Germany's TUV Rheinland.
