Gibo Supports Companion Plants to Overcome COVID-19 Depression
'Yonggi Challenge' Completed... Carbon Tree Forest Planned
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter Kibo) announced on the 19th that the "Yonggi Challenge" campaign, held for three weeks from May 17 as part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, has successfully concluded.
The Yonggi Challenge was a nationwide participatory campaign aimed at raising public awareness of environmental conservation by promoting a culture of reducing single-use products. Depending on the number of participants, trees were to be planted to create a carbon-absorbing forest, and companion plants were planned to be delivered to neighbors exhausted by COVID-19. As a result of the campaign, Kibo employees and a total of 3,181 citizens pledged to use personal containers instead of single-use products.
