GS25 Installs Assistance Bells for Disability Welfare in Cooperation with Daegu City
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS25 announced on the afternoon of the 19th that it will sign a business agreement with Daegu City to improve accessibility for disabled people at convenience stores.
This business agreement mainly focuses on social contribution projects such as ▲installing GS25 help bells in Daegu City ▲training employees to assist disabled customers ▲campaigns to prevent missing disabled persons. GS25 applied for and was finally selected for the ‘Convenience Store Help Bell Installation’ support project conducted by Daegu City this year through the resident participation budget.
GS25 plans to install help bells in about 100 stores in Daegu City by October. Daegu City will support overall activities including selecting suppliers and providing help bells, while GS25 will focus on training convenience store employees to assist disabled customers to enhance the effectiveness of the help bell installation project. The installation of help bells is expected to lower the psychological barrier for disabled people who use wheelchairs or have mobility difficulties when using convenience stores.
