[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] As the fourth wave of COVID-19 continues, new confirmed cases are continuously emerging at temporary screening clinics nationwide.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 17th, a total of 336 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were identified at temporary screening clinics nationwide the previous day. Among them, 319 cases were confirmed in the metropolitan area, and 17 cases were confirmed in non-metropolitan areas.
The 319 cases in the metropolitan area account for 22.7% of the total 1,404 new locally transmitted cases recorded as of midnight that day. Compared to the 1,018 confirmed cases in the metropolitan area, this represents about 31.3%.
