Son Jeongmin's Friend Files Defamation Complaint Against YouTuber Kim Woong
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The friend A of university student Son Jeong-min (22), who was found dead in the Han River, has filed a complaint with the police against Kim Woong, a former journalist turned YouTuber who runs the YouTube channel 'Kim Woong TV.'
The law firm One & Partners, representing A legally, announced on the 15th, "We have filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against Kim Woong for violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation), the Telecommunications Basic Act, and insult."
One & Partners judged that 19 of the videos contained defamatory content against A. It is known that some of these videos have been deleted or set to private.
One & Partners claimed that Kim spread false information to slander A and to maximize his own YouTube revenue.
