The DIT Wine Academy Alumni Association delivered a sponsorship fund of 20 million KRW for athletic development on the 13th at the president's office in the main building of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology.
Attending the sponsorship handover were Dong-Eui Institute of Technology President Kim Young-do, Planning Director Kim Kyung-hwa, Lifelong Education Center Director Kim Tae-kyung, and Yoon Bo-sun, president of the ‘DIT Wine Academy Alumni Association’ (CEO of Beomchang Liquor), among others.
Last year, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology established baseball and soccer teams for the first time among specialized colleges in the Busan area to expand the base of university sports.
The sponsorship handover ceremony was held to support the discovery and nurturing of promising sports talents and the development of university sports.
The ‘DIT Wine Academy CEO Master Course,’ operated by the Lifelong Education Center of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, provides wine education to CEOs from various fields and serves as a cultural exchange platform among regional leaders.
The Alumni Association was founded in 2016 to promote harmony and exchange among alumni. Following the first president, former director Kim Mal-soon of Inchang Nursing Hospital, Yoon Bo-sun, CEO of Beomchang Liquor, is serving as the second president of the Alumni Association.
President Kim Young-do said, “I thank the members of the DIT Wine Academy for their interest in nurturing sports talents. The sponsorship funds received will be used for the development of university athletics.”
Alumni Association President Yoon Bo-sun said, “Since the baseball team advanced to the national championship in its inaugural year, the future looks even more promising. Despite difficult circumstances such as COVID-19, please continue to support the athletes so they can focus on their training.”

The Dong-Eui Institute of Technology baseball team recently advanced to the championship round in the ‘2021 KUSF University Baseball U-League’ in its first year since establishment. Considering that the team was composed entirely of first-year students with little tournament experience in their first national competition, this advancement is a very valuable achievement.
