US Chicago added to travel advisory list along with Missouri and Arkansas
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Chicago, the largest city in the U.S. Midwest, has added two states with severe COVID-19 outbreaks to its travel advisory list.
According to CNN and others on the 13th (local time), Chicago has placed Missouri and Arkansas on its travel advisory list.
Unvaccinated travelers from these states visiting Chicago must submit a negative test result taken within 72 hours before arrival or quarantine for ten days after arrival.
Since the 1st of last month, Chicago had not added any states to its travel advisory list. This was the first time since the list was created in July last year.
However, due to the recent spread of the highly contagious India-origin Delta variant in some areas, this measure was decided.
