Selected for Hapcheon-gun Smart Sewer Asset Management System Establishment ... Secured 1.5 Billion KRW in National Funding
Introduction of Smart Technologies in Sewerage Sector, Operational Efficiency Improvement, and Maintenance Cost Reduction
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam was finally selected for the smart sewage management system construction pilot project in September last year and will proceed from 2023 to 2024.
This project enables proactive response based on real-time monitoring, remote control management, intelligence, history management, and identification of risk factors for each facility using information and communication technology (ICT) throughout the entire sewage treatment process.
It is also a project to build an optimal maintenance management system for assets through database creation of asset status to extend the lifespan of sewage facilities and reduce maintenance costs using systematic maintenance techniques.
Through this selected project, it is expected that the service level related to sewage facilities such as sewage treatment plants and sewage pipelines will be improved, and competitiveness will be further strengthened by introducing smart technologies in the sewage sector such as remaining lifespan prediction and extension, and improvement demand analysis for efficient management and maintenance cost reduction.
