[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] On the 13th, Gyeongsangnam-do held a signing ceremony at the Jinju Western Government Complex with six bottled water manufacturers in the province to expand the production of label-free water bottles.
Currently, the bottled water manufacturers in the province produce 680 million labeled water bottles annually.
Switching to label-free water bottles will reduce approximately 544 tons of vinyl used for label production per year.
It is also expected that the recycling rate of transparent PET bottles will increase through easy label removal.
