On the 13th, Kim said on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' program, "I applied because I was asked to apply to increase the number of people."
He said, "I am also a lawyer, and obstruction of business is defined in Article 314 of the Criminal Act as obstructing another person's business by deception or intimidation. It is punishable by criminal law," adding, "Deception means secretly misleading someone with lies to cause harm, and intimidation means using force. What did I deceive?"
He continued, "Anyone in the nation can apply to be an elector. It has nothing to do with political parties," emphasizing, "Moreover, I showed my true intentions openly. Saying this is obstruction of business is nonsense."
He then pointed out, "He keeps talking without knowing the law well. It's fine to speak politically, like saying 'I feel bad,' or 'Why are you interfering with our party?' Then I would say, 'I'm not interfering.' But saying it can be punished as obstruction of business is why I am speaking out."
Regarding the criticism that he violated political ethics, he said, "I don't understand. When it's called a national primary, our party supporters will also participate, and I am willing to accept that."
Earlier, on the morning of the 11th, Kim posted on his Facebook with a certification photo showing he applied to the Democratic Party presidential primary national electorate recruitment, saying, "So far, my heart goes to candidate Chu Mi-ae, who appeared on TV and sang 'Female President' as her life song."

In response, Governor Lee criticized on the 12th in an interview with KBS News, saying, "It violates political ethics, but in fact, it corresponds to the crime of obstruction of business under criminal law," and added, "No party leadership anywhere in the world has ever told their members to vote for a weak candidate of the opposing party."
