ADT Caps launches mobile security app 'Caps MobileGuard'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] ADT Caps announced on the 13th that it has launched the Android mobile security app 'Caps Mobile Guard.'
Caps Mobile Guard is a newly rebranded version of the free mobile antivirus 'T Guard' for SK Telecom users, managed by ADT Caps. It provides a safe protection service that detects and manages various threats to smartphones in real time, such as malware and smishing.
It offers core security features including scanning for malicious apps within the smartphone and checking for smishing, which involves malicious URLs designed to induce financial information leakage. It also provides smartphone storage optimization by cleaning unnecessary files.
In particular, the cloud scanning feature uses AI technology to reflect the latest antivirus update patterns in real time, enabling rapid detection and response to unknown new or variant malware.
As part of its ESG management activities, ADT Caps decided to provide Caps Mobile Guard free of charge. It is available to any customer using an Android smartphone and can be downloaded for free through One Store or Play Store.
