[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Joo-hee] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon revealed that he recently met with former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and said, "(Former Prosecutor General Yoon) was very concerned about the impression that his message was being misunderstood as a return to old conservatism."
On the 12th, Jin appeared on CBS Radio's 'Hanpan Seungbu' and, when pointing out that Yoon's presidential campaign declaration "smells more like old conservatism than being future-oriented," he said, "He himself said, 'After writing it and reading it later, it seems that way.' It seemed he was struggling to draw that line."
He continued, "I heard that when former Prosecutor General Yoon visits experts, he tells a completely different story, 180 degrees opposite," and added, "He also said that ultimately, all decisions have to be made by the candidate himself."
Regarding Yoon's entry into the People Power Party, Jin said, "I took it to mean that he intends to stay outside for a while," and added, "He said that the freedom he talks about is somewhat different in tone from the kind of free-market economy or market fundamentalism, so-called libertarianism, that the People Power Party talks about."
He further speculated, "It seems he has no immediate intention to join the People Power Party," and "Probably, he plans to play a role in rallying the centrist voters from outside and eventually unify with the People Power Party candidate."

Jin also said, "I asked former Prosecutor General Yoon if he plans to meet Chairman Kim Jong-in, and he said, 'I want to meet anytime.' When I spoke with Chairman Kim, he said, 'If I get a call, I will meet.' So, they will meet eventually," he added.
