Gasoline Prices Rise for 10 Consecutive Weeks... 1,615 Won per Liter
[Asia Economy Reporter Joo Sang-don] Gasoline prices at gas stations have risen for 10 consecutive weeks. According to the Korea National Oil Corporation on the 11th, the gasoline retail price for the first week of July increased by 14.1 KRW from the previous week to 1,615 KRW per liter, marking a 10-week continuous upward trend.
The average price at budget gas stations was the lowest at 1,585.7 KRW per liter, while GS Caltex gas stations showed the highest price at 1,622.6 KRW per liter.
The highest-priced region, Seoul, saw gasoline prices rise by 13.1 KRW from the previous week to 1,696.6 KRW per liter, which is 81.6 KRW higher than the national average price. The lowest-priced region, Daegu, recorded a gasoline price increase of 15.8 KRW from the previous week to 1,594.2 KRW per liter, which is 20.8 KRW lower than the national average price.
The diesel retail price for the first week of July rose by 13.7 KRW from the previous week to 1,411.8 KRW per liter.

Last week, international oil prices showed a slight upward trend due to improved economic outlooks in Europe, the failure of an agreement among OPEC Plus (OPEC+), a coalition of OPEC and non-OPEC major oil-producing countries including Russia, a decrease in U.S. crude oil inventories, and Iran's moves to produce enriched uranium. The Dubai crude price for the first week of July was $73.6 per barrel, up $0.1 from the previous week.
