7-Vehicle Pileup Involving a Village Bus with 'Brake Failure' in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] At around 9:42 a.m. on the 10th, a village bus traveling on a road in Beondong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, collided with vehicles ahead after its braking system failed.
According to fire authorities, the bus hit three vehicles while driving on the road, then collided with a stationary truck and came to a stop. The truck, pushed by the impact, caused a chain collision with two vehicles in front of it.
As a result of the accident, nine people, including passengers on the village bus, were injured, and three were transported to the hospital. All the injured sustained minor injuries and are reported to be in stable condition.
