Training on Valley Rescue and Water Rescue Equipment Preparation for Heavy Rainfall in Summer
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Baegam Office of Naejangsan National Park under the Korea National Park Service (Director Lee Jaewon) announced on the 9th that it conducted a joint rescue drill with related agencies on the 8th in the Namchang Valley area to prepare for natural disasters during the summer season.
This drill involved a total of about 34 participants from six organizations, including the Baegam Office of Naejangsan National Park, Naejangsan National Park Office, Eastern Office of Mudeungsan National Park, Dadohaehaesang National Park Office, Byeonsanbando National Park Office rescue teams, and Jangseong Fire Station. The exercise simulated a scenario where many visitors were stranded due to heavy summer rains.
Additionally, to ensure rapid rescue in case of safety accidents during water play in national parks, training was conducted using lifesaving equipment from rescue kits installed in high-risk water play areas, striving to achieve ZERO drowning accidents.
