'2021 Jungnang-gu Disabled Online Job Fair' Held
Recruitment of Companies for Exhibition from July 19 to August 22... Resume Submission for Job Seekers from August 23 to September 1, Online Video Interviews from September 2 to 10
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will hold an online job fair next month for people with disabilities who are having difficulty finding jobs.
This is the second time since the first event in 2019. The first fair, held in person, saw participation from 62 companies and about 300 job seekers, with 6 people hired on the spot, receiving great responses from participants. This year, due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, the fair will be held online to help alleviate employment difficulties for people with disabilities.
First, from the 19th of this month until August 22, companies looking to hire talented people with disabilities will be recruited. About 30 companies, including those obligated to employ people with disabilities and social enterprises in the region, are expected to participate.
Job seekers with disabilities can check related information such as job postings, employment lectures, and resume review on the fair’s website starting mid-August.
Applications will be accepted from August 23 to September 1. Afterward, first-round successful candidates will have online video interviews from September 2 to 10. During the interview period, the district office will operate an interview support room to help job seekers who are not familiar with online usage to smoothly attend their interviews.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “Since jobs are the best welfare, we are making efforts to discover jobs for people with disabilities and expand employment opportunities,” adding, “We will create a city where people with disabilities can live well by building comprehensive welfare infrastructure including jobs, care, and convenience enhancement.”
