Mokpo Coast Guard Urgently Transports 2 Emergency Patients from Island Areas Despite Heavy Rain

According to Mokpo Coast Guard Station (Chief Im Jae-su) on the 6th, at around 1:57 PM on the 5th, a report was received that Mr. A (in his 40s) suffered an elbow fracture and severe pain while working on construction on Bigeumdo Island, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The Coast Guard dispatched a coastal rescue boat from the local police station, boarded the patient and guardian on Bigeumdo Island, and braved the rain and wind to urgently transport them. They arrived at Namgang Pier on Amtaedo Island at around 3:25 PM and handed over the patient to the waiting 119 ambulance team.
Then, at 10:52 AM on the 6th, a report was received that Ms. B (female, in her 70s) on Jodo Island, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, was suffering from persistent headaches and vomiting. The Coast Guard dispatched a coastal rescue boat from the local police station, boarded the patient and guardian at Changyu Port on Jodo Island, and urgently transported them to Seomang Port in Jindo, where a 119 ambulance team was waiting.
Thanks to the Coast Guard's assistance, emergency patients Mr. A and Ms. B were transported urgently and are currently receiving treatment at hospitals in Mokpo and Jindo, respectively.
A Mokpo Coast Guard official said, “Even amid worsening weather conditions, we will always do our best to protect the precious lives of the people by promptly transporting emergency patients.”
