POSCO Energy Supports Pediatric Cancer Treatment Costs for 8 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] POSCO Energy has supported medical expenses for low-income pediatric cancer patients' families near its Incheon and Gwangyang business sites for eight years.
On the 6th, POSCO Energy announced that it visited the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul, and delivered 50 million KRW for the treatment of pediatric cancer patients.
POSCO Energy supports medical expenses for pediatric cancer patients through the 1% Sharing Fund, which is raised by all employees donating a fixed amount from their monthly salaries.
Since 2014, a total of 260 million KRW has been delivered to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation for pediatric cancer treatment, benefiting a total of 28 children.

At the delivery ceremony, Jung Ki-seop, CEO of POSCO Energy, said, "I heard that about 1,400 new pediatric cancer patients occur annually in Korea, and many patient families face financial difficulties due to high medical costs. I hope the fund, prepared by the efforts of our employees, will become a source of hope for families of pediatric cancer patients."
