'Emergency Declaration' to Unveil at Cannes Film Festival on the 17th
Director Han Jae-rim, Actors Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, and Im Si-wan Attend Premiere
'Emergency Declaration,' invited to the Cannes International Film Festival, will be unveiled on the 17th at the Lumi?re Grand Theatre in France. Distributor Showbox announced on the 6th that director Han Jae-rim and actors Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, and Im Si-wan will attend the premiere and walk the red carpet. It is an aviation disaster film about a plane facing an unprecedented disaster declaring an unconditional landing. The cast includes Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Nam-gil, Im Si-wan, Kim So-jin, and Park Hae-joon. The megaphone was held by director Han Jae-rim, who directed 'The Face Reader (2013)' and 'The King (2016).' It will be screened in the non-competitive section of this year's Cannes International Film Festival. This section carefully selects works that possess both artistic and commercial value. This year, films such as Todd Haynes' 'Velvet Underground,' Thomas McCarthy's 'Stillwater,' and Emmanuel Bercot's 'Peaceful' were included. Earlier, Thierry Fr?maux, the executive director, praised 'Emergency Declaration' as a "perfect genre film."
