Polaris Office Launches 'Polaris Office Web' MS Office Document Format
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Polaris Office, a company specializing in office software, now supports MS Office document formats on 'Polaris Office Web.' This means that PowerPoint and Excel files can be used directly in a web browser without the need for separate programs.
On the 5th, Polaris Office announced the release of 'Polaris Office Web Slide' and 'Polaris Office Web Sheet' versions. They plan to launch the Word document format in August. The 'Polaris Office Web Hangeul (HWP)' version, released in March, is also available on the global cloud service Dropbox platform.
The 'Polaris Office Web' service is a web editor that allows document work directly in a web browser without installing a separate paid program or requiring sign-up or login. It not only allows viewing documents directly in the browser but also includes features such as editing, saving, and link sharing. This enables easy and quick document review, making document work convenient even in external environments such as fieldwork or business trips.
A Polaris Office representative said, "Following Hangeul documents, we are expanding our web-based office to support various MS Office formats, allowing anyone to use it conveniently and for free in multiple formats," adding, "We expect user work convenience to improve significantly by providing software that facilitates cloud-based work environments."
They continued, "We plan to continuously expand the document formats offered by the 'Polaris Office Web' service," and said, "We will create a more convenient work environment in the untact era by integrating with various cloud and collaboration platforms, including Dropbox."
