Gochang-gun Conducts 'Safety and Quarantine Special Inspection' of Rural Tourism Facilities
[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeollabuk-do Gochang-gun (Governor Yu Gisang) announced on the 5th that it will conduct a special safety and quarantine inspection for rural tourism facilities during the summer vacation season.
The county plans to conduct inspections until September 30th targeting the top 50% of facilities among the 96 rural tourism sites in the area, where a concentration of tourists is expected.
The county has organized an inspection team composed of experienced public officials in safety from related organizations such as the fire station to focus on key safety and quarantine matters by sector.
The main inspection items include management of water play facilities, fire safety management, hygiene management, and compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.
If any risk factors are found during the safety inspection, immediate on-site measures will be recommended, and if any violations are discovered, administrative actions will be taken according to the law as follow-up measures.
The county operates a total of 96 rural tourism facilities, including 7 rural experience and recreation villages, 1 tourist farm, and 88 rural homestays.
