'Story Day' Event Live Broadcast on Internal Channel and YouTube... Real-Time Communication
President Kim Jun to Hold 'Town Hall Meeting' with Employees
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Innovation shared its mid- to long-term future innovation vision, unveiled on the 1st, in real time with domestic and overseas employees.
SK Innovation announced on the 4th that it live-streamed the 'SK Innovation Story Day' event held on the 1st at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, to its domestic and international members, simultaneously sharing the company's key management policies with employees.
On this day, SK Innovation attracted attention by declaring that it would transform its 60-year-old carbon-based petrochemical business into a green-centered business led by battery and eco-friendly recycling businesses.
It was reported that SK Innovation reviewed various ideas from the planning stage of this event to enable domestic and overseas employees to watch the event in real time.
Not only did they pre-test the live broadcast environment of the in-house broadcasting system so that all employees could directly watch the presentation site, but they also streamed the event live on YouTube so that telecommuters and overseas staff could watch simultaneously. For overseas employees and members, real-time interpretation and transcription with English subtitles were also provided.
This approach by SK Innovation reflects a corporate culture that values communication with its members. It was reported that CEO Kim Jun instructed the live broadcast of the event so that all employees could share the company's future mid- to long-term vision in real time.
The company announced the Story Day event to its members through the in-house intranet a week before the presentation and guided them on how to watch the broadcast via in-house broadcasting and YouTube.
