8 New COVID-19 Cases Linked to Clubs in Daegu...Nation's First Industry-Wide Closure Order Issued
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Eight new confirmed cases, including one related to a club, have been reported in Daegu.
According to Daegu City on the 3rd, as of midnight, the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) increased by 8 from the previous day, totaling 1,622.
Three people who had contact with confirmed cases were infected, and four tested positive in tests conducted before release from self-quarantine.
One person whose source of infection has not been identified is under epidemiological investigation.
Regarding the club located in Jung-gu, after two people were confirmed positive on the 1st through regular proactive testing of entertainment facility workers, one additional case was confirmed on the 2nd following tests of workers and patrons. Including confirmed cases from other regions, the cumulative total is six.

To prevent further spread, the city issued an administrative order banning gatherings at 10 clubs near Dongseong-ro in Jung-gu from 10 PM on the 2nd until midnight on the 11th. This is the first such measure implemented nationwide.
