Gyeongnam Province Conducts Free Health Checkups for Multicultural Families
Health Checkup Visits on Desired Dates for Participants from July to August
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do provides free health checkups annually for 100 multicultural families.
Gyeongnam Province announced on the 2nd that it will conduct the '2021 Multicultural Family Free Health Checkup' until the end of August to strengthen medical welfare for multicultural families and alleviate economic difficulties.
The main targets are multicultural couples aged 30 or older residing in the province.
Since last year, the program has been expanded to include direct lineal relatives of multicultural families.
From June, 62 households and 100 individuals were selected based on criteria such as economic status, necessity of health checkup, and dependents.
The checkup items include 27 types and 96 items such as ultrasound, stomach cancer screening, and liver disease tests.
Each person receives a free health checkup worth approximately 500,000 KRW, and the checkups will be conducted at the Korea Medical Research Institute Screening Center on preferred dates from July to the end of August.
