Changwon City Upgrades Central Hydrogen Refueling Station... Operations Resume from July 1
Improved Charging Capacity Enables Full Charge and Extended Operating Time During Charging
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, has completed the compressor upgrade to improve the charging capacity of the Central charging station and will resume operations from July 1.
The Central charging station only supports hydrogen passenger cars and could only charge up to about 70% for a full charge, causing inconvenience to users.
The city completed the compressor upgrade in June to address this issue.
Additionally, the station was previously open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
Starting July 15, it will operate year-round from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Besides this, the city has hydrogen charging stations in Pallyong-dong, Uichang-gu (Pallyong Charging Station), Deokdong, Masanhappo-gu (Deokdong Charging Station), Seongju-dong, Seongsan-gu (Seongju Charging Station), and Jukgok-dong, Jinhae-gu (Jukgok Charging Station), totaling five locations, the most among basic local governments.
The city is providing subsidies of 33.1 million KRW (35 million KRW for corporations) to support the private sector hydrogen vehicle distribution project.
Moreover, various benefits are offered, including acquisition tax reductions, an annual automobile tax discount of 130,000 KRW, 50% discounts on city public parking lots, and 50% discounts on highway tolls.
