Kwon, who serves as the party's External Cooperation Committee Chair, acts as a communication channel with external figures like former Prosecutor General Yoon and former Board of Audit and Inspection Chairman Choi Jae-hyung.
On the 30th, on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' Kwon said, "Those who criticize others a lot rarely succeed," adding, "Since Mr. Hong is a wise person, I think he will now talk more about himself."
Regarding the criticism that "former Prosecutor General Yoon has only been a prosecutor," he defended, saying, "The world is very specialized nowadays, and it is difficult for a multi-talented genius like Michelangelo to appear," adding, "Those who have reached a certain position in one field can have their own perspectives and thoughts about society as a whole."
He continued, "When President Moon Jae-in first ran for the presidency, what experience did he have?" explaining, "He was a lifelong lawyer and briefly served as Chief of Staff and Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs."
He added, "However, (the Democratic Party) chose such a person as a candidate, and even though he served as a first-term lawmaker for four years in between, he became president as a freshman lawmaker."
Kwon said, "There have been about ten presidents in our country. Just because there are ten precedents doesn't mean we must follow them unconditionally," adding, "Expecting a prosecutor to become president because of precedent is wishful thinking. This is what is called the fallacy of hasty generalization in logic."
