Gyeonggi Office of Education Temporarily Closes Southern Office Building Due to COVID-19 Confirmed Case
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced on the 30th that an employee belonging to the Audit Office tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee visited a gym in Suwon on the 27th, and after showing symptoms such as headache on the 28th, did not go to work on the 29th and underwent a diagnostic test at a public health center, receiving a positive result that morning.
It is known that a COVID-19 case was recently reported at the gym the employee visited.
Accordingly, the Gyeonggi Office of Education temporarily closed the Southern Office building and sent all employees home except for essential personnel, instructing them to work from home.
They also decided to conduct diagnostic tests for about 680 employees of the Southern Office.

A Gyeonggi Office of Education official stated, "The exact infection route must be observed through the epidemiological investigation by the quarantine authorities," and added, "Future responses will also follow the investigation results."
