The 2nd Korea-US Quantum Policy Dialogue Held, Next Meeting in Washington in the Second Half of the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] On the 29th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it held the 2nd meeting of the Korea-US bureau-level regular consultative body, the ‘Bilateral Policy Dialogue (BPD),’ in Seoul.
On this day, Ko Yoon-joo, Director General of the North American Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held the Bilateral Policy Dialogue (BPD) with Mark Naepher, US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, who is visiting Korea, and broadly discussed follow-up measures to the Korea-US summit held on the 21st of last month, major alliance issues, and regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Both sides closely consulted on the outcomes of high-level exchanges between the two countries, including the summit, and agreed to continuously monitor to ensure that the implementation of the results proceeds without any setbacks.
Additionally, both sides agreed on the importance of expanding cooperation between Korea and the US, as well as Korea-US-Japan cooperation, for regional peace and prosperity.
