SK Stoa Supports 'Happiness Lunchbox' Project for Food-Insecure Children with 20 Million KRW Funding
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] SK Stoa announced on the 29th that on the 28th, it signed a business agreement for the 'Daegu Jung-gu Happiness Two Meals Project' at Daegu Metropolitan City Jung-gu Office, attended by Kim Jung-woo, Head of SK Stoa Management Support Group, Ryu Gyu-ha, Mayor of Daegu Jung-gu, Kim Sang-woo, CEO of On Green Food, and Cho Min-young, Head of the Secretariat of the Happiness Alliance.
The Happiness Two Meals Project is a campaign started with the purpose that children in welfare blind spots should be guaranteed at least two meals a day. While meals are delivered to children at risk of food insecurity by local governments, for children excluded from this, member companies of the Happiness Alliance, local governments, and the community cooperate to build a support system and provide happiness lunchboxes.
SK Stoa participated in this agreement due to its active involvement in revitalizing the Daegu and Gyeongbuk region's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic in March last year. SK Stoa is supporting 20 million KRW for the happiness lunchbox project, and the social enterprise On Green Food is responsible for manufacturing and delivering lunchboxes for children.
Daegu Jung-gu recommends children in need within the region for the Happiness Two Meals Project and plans to continuously work on establishing a safety net to solve child food insecurity even after the project ends.

Meanwhile, in March last year, SK Stoa, along with member companies of the Happiness Alliance, delivered basic daily necessities packages called Happiness Boxes to 1,500 children in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions who experienced meal gaps. Additionally, to support the local economy, SK Stoa waived all commissions on products from social enterprises and cooperatives in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions sold through SK Stoa TV broadcasts and mobile apps.
