Only players who have not yet been vaccinated or who are classified as close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases will continue to be tested. The PGA Tour had completely suspended its schedule in March last year due to the COVID-19 outbreak, then resumed in June with all players, caddies, and tournament staff required to undergo COVID-19 testing. Along with the abolition of testing, no consolation payments will be given to compensate for income losses caused by COVID-19 positive players being unable to participate in tournaments.
