Krafton Invests in Indian Game Streaming Platform 'Roco'
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Krafton announced on the 28th that it has invested in India's game streaming platform 'Loco'.
Loco is a streaming platform that became independent from India's largest digital entertainment company, 'Pocket Aces'.
Krafton made an investment of $9 million (approximately 10.1 billion KRW) along with various investors including Lumikai, Hashed, Hiro Capital, North Base Media, Exiler Ventures, and Three One Four Capital.
Son Hyun-il, Head of Investment at Krafton, said, "We anticipate a continuous increase in live video game content consumption among Indian gamers, and we have invested in Loco, a company that holds the best position in the Indian game streaming platform sector. Going forward, Krafton will continue to invest in related fields such as technology and media, as well as games, to support the growth of the Indian game industry."

Meanwhile, Krafton is making bold investments in the Indian game industry. In November last year, it established an Indian branch, and in March, it invested 22.5 billion KRW in Nodwin Gaming, India's leading e-sports company.
