Gimhae City Expands Eligibility for 'Interest Support Program on Jeonse Loans for Newlywed Couples Without Housing'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 28th that it will expand the support project for rental deposit loan interest for newlywed couples without housing.
This change follows the partial amendment ordinance on supporting rental deposit loan interest for newlywed couples without housing, which was passed at the 1st regular meeting of the Gimhae City Council on the 24th.
According to the amendment, for newlywed households with two or more children, the support period has been extended from 5 years to 7 years, and the previous loan amount limit (150 million KRW) has been removed to expand the eligible recipients.
Previously, newlywed households without housing, registered with the same address in Gimhae City within 5 years of marriage, and with a standard median income of 180% or less, were supported up to 1 million KRW within 1.5% of the outstanding balance of rental deposit loans (initial loan amount up to 150 million KRW).
