Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education to Hold Policy Forum on Educational Guardianship System on the 29th
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Education Research and Information Institute under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a policy forum on the topic of the Education Guardian System on the 29th at 2 p.m., both online and offline.
The Education Guardian System is a system in which the local community, schools, and families work together to support students' learning as well as emotional and psychological well-being. This policy forum has been organized to broaden the welfare perspective on learning and care support and to discuss an integrated welfare system.
Seoul Superintendent of Education Cho Hee-yeon will deliver the keynote speech proposing an integrated educational welfare system. The forum will continue with topics such as Suggestions for Establishing an Educational Welfare System (Professor Kim Jin-seok, Department of Social Welfare, Seoul Women's University), Seoul Students' Educational Safety Net from the School Perspective (Principal Bang Dae-gon, Seoul Cheonwang Elementary School), Seoul Students' Educational Safety Net from the Community Perspective (Principal Song Min-gi, Indie School), and Operation of the Education Guardian System by School-Community Educational Communities (Superintendent Jo Dae-jin, Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education). A joint discussion session with the presenters will also be held. Presenters and designated discussants will conduct a joint discussion under the subtitle "For an Integrated Educational Safety Net for Seoul Students."
