Inspection of Public Pledge Projects by Jungnang-gu Resident Jury for the 7th Local Government Term
On the 22nd, 40 'Resident Jurors' Appointed to Directly Review Promises... Will Monitor, Evaluate, and Propose Improvements for Promise Fulfillment
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has appointed 40 resident jurors to inspect and evaluate the fulfillment of campaign promises during the 7th local government administration.
The resident jurors will be active until July this year.
The "Campaign Promise Fulfillment Inspection Resident Jury Group" is a resident participation system where residents directly verify the status of campaign promise fulfillment, evaluate implementation plans and feasibility, and propose alternatives and improvement measures.
The district established this jury group to create a communication channel that listens to residents' voices and reflects them in policies, and to allow residents to participate in and evaluate the campaign promise fulfillment process.
To ensure autonomy and fairness in activities, the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters randomly selected 40 residents of Jungnang-gu aged 18 or older, considering gender, age, and region.
On the 22nd, the district held an appointment ceremony for the resident jurors and conducted basic manifesto education and subgroup formation. The jury group will continue activities until July, including ▲ explanation and Q&A on campaign promise agenda by subgroup ▲ free discussion ▲ deliberation on the appropriateness of campaign promise adjustments ▲ proposal of improvement measures regarding the 7th local government administration's campaign promises.
The recommendations proposed through the activities are scheduled to be disclosed on the Jungnang-gu Office website between August and September.
