Hyehwa Police Station and KT Hyehwa Branch Conduct Joint Police-Military Drill
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul announced on the 25th that they conducted a joint police-military drill to prepare for emergency situations such as bomb terrorism at the KT Hyehwa branch.
The police assumed a situation where a 112 report was received about an explosion sound at the KT Hyehwa branch and carried out initial response training and suspect apprehension activities. The military deployed specialized bomb disposal and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) units to conduct bomb disposal training, including actual bomb analysis and investigation.
Earlier, in March, the Hyehwa Police Station and KT Hyehwa branch signed a security agreement with related agencies to protect national critical facilities.
