Shinhan Bank, Shinhan Gallery Hosts Group Exhibition 'Flexible Imagination' by Han Seung-min and Hong Seok-min
Collaborative Exhibition with Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture Jamsil Creative Studio, a Creative Space for Artists with Disabilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 25th that it will hold a group exhibition titled "Flexible Imagination" featuring artists Han Seungmin and Hong Seokmin at the Shinhan Gallery located in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul.
Shinhan Bank and the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture signed a cultural and artistic support agreement in 2018 and have been hosting annual exhibitions for resident artists of the Jamsil Creative Studio.
The Jamsil Creative Studio of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture is the nation's first creative residency for artists with disabilities. Despite the downturn in the cultural and artistic sectors caused by COVID-19, it continues to provide artists with disabilities with ongoing creative spaces and capacity-building programs.
Artists Han Seungmin and Hong Seokmin present moments through their works that allow audiences to engage in diverse and flexible imaginations. Their uniquely composed works stimulate viewers, who may be caught in repetitive daily routines and biased thinking, to imagine independently through the exhibition experience. Through the "Flexible Imagination" exhibition, audiences can encounter a variety of works by the two artists.
In line with Shinhan Financial Group's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy, Shinhan Bank continues various activities to promote coexistence and virtuous cycles in society through spreading positive influence. These include supporting exhibitions at Shinhan Gallery, the Shinhan Music Award to nurture promising domestic classical musicians, and the Shinhan Environmental Photography Contest to raise environmental awareness.
