[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hyundai L&C announced on the 24th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute for the 'Environmental Disease Prevention Project for Vulnerable Groups.'
The 'Environmental Disease Prevention Project' is an environmental welfare service project in which environmental health professionals directly visit about 1,700 vulnerable households, including low-income families, people with disabilities, and elderly living alone, to diagnose indoor air quality. The Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute has been conducting this project since 2009.
Hyundai L&C has been steadily participating in the 'Environmental Disease Prevention Project' for nine years since 2013, and this year, it will donate eco-friendly flooring products such as 'Myeongga', 'Chamdawoom', and wallpaper 'Cutie'. The scale includes approximately 15,000㎥ (4,500 pyeong) of flooring and 36,000㎥ (10,500 pyeong) of wallpaper, aiming to improve the living environment of socially vulnerable groups and contribute to the prevention of environmental diseases.
