The city plans to invest 3 billion KRW to develop a wildflower garden, lawn plaza, and reed forest complex within 90,000㎡ (27,225 pyeong) of Daedong Ecological Park by 2022.
Currently, the city is planting grass in the lawn plaza with 50 Hope Job workers, generating the effect of employing 4,000 people over four months. This is expected to create local jobs and save 200 million KRW in project costs compared to proceeding with a general construction contract.
The area around the ecological park offers various attractions such as the Daedong Flower Complex and the Suan Village Hydrangea Festival. There are also many dining options like Daedong Noodle Street and seafood restaurants, as well as a Daedong agricultural products direct market. This project is expected to contribute to revitalizing the local economy in the eastern Gimhae area and provide a resting place for citizens through synergy.
