This campaign will run for about a month with the participation of all Woori Card employees to raise awareness of the seriousness of environmental issues and contribute to lowering the Earth's temperature to below 1.5 degrees Celsius. The campaign began with a tumbler distribution event for employees held at Woori Card’s Gwanghwamun headquarters to reduce the use of paper cups.
During the campaign period, individual efforts by employees inside and outside the company will continue to protect the environment. Plans include donating unused items at home to the disability independence store 'Goodwill Store,' separating plastic bottle labels for recycling, and reducing disposable products. Inside the company, employees will practice saving printing paper and turning off lights during lunch breaks.
Additionally, to promote environmental protection and health, employees pledged the 'Hopeful Steps Toward Carbon Neutrality' by walking more than 5,000 steps a day instead of using public transportation. Through the in-house music broadcast 'Green Request,' stories and song requests submitted by employees will result in a donation of 5,000 KRW per case to environmental organizations.
A Woori Card official said, "We held a tumbler distribution event to reduce the use of office paper cups, which emit 11g of carbon per cup, and to encourage all employees to participate in the campaign." He added, "We will continue to create positive influence through diverse and proactive ESG management practices."
