Actor Ahn Sung-ki Receives Brand Lorelei Award
"Raising the Status of Korean Cinema Worldwide"
Actor Ahn Sung-ki (69) became the first Korean actor to receive the Legendary Award presented by the Brand Lorey Awards. The Brand Lorey Awards is a ceremony conducted by the World Brand Foundation (TWBF), a brand-based nonprofit organization that evaluates the brand value of individuals or organizations. On the 22nd, at the Korean awards ceremony held at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, Ahn received the Legendary Award given to global stars. He passed the final evaluation with an average score of 9.4 from 482 brand experts across 25 countries. He earned balanced scores in five categories: brand strategy, culture, innovation, equity, and communication. Ahn said, "This award will give me a lot of courage and strength," and added, "I will dedicate the rest of my life to elevating the status of Korean cinema worldwide." Previous recipients of this award include actors Cheng Long (Jackie Chan), Tom Cruise, and Harrison Ford.
