"Relief from Illegal Private Loans with a Single Report"‥ Gyeonggi-do Operates 'One-Stop Reporting Center'
Opening of Damage Report Center from the 24th
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province will operate the 'One-stop Illegal Private Loan Damage Report Center' from the 24th, where victims can receive support for damage relief with just one report to eradicate illegal private financing.
According to the province on the day, financial marginalized groups who have suffered damage from illegal private financing or residents who have witnessed it can report or tip off the Illegal Private Loan Damage Report Center, which provides support for damage counseling, investigation of illegal lending businesses, damage relief, and recovery all at once.
In particular, without visiting the center in person, reports and tips can be submitted confidentially through the website opened online, and a 'Registered Lending Business Integrated Inquiry' function has been established to check whether the lending business used is a registered company.
After counseling on the reported damage, if illegal lenders and lending activities are identified, the province's Special Judicial Police Unit for Fairness will start an investigation based on this.
Additionally, victims are assisted to achieve economic independence without using illegal private financing through low-credit loans from Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, re-challenge loans, small business funding support, and financial counseling. Residents who contribute to eradicating illegal private financing will receive public interest whistleblower rewards and commendations.
The province plans to integrate the illegal private financing response tasks, which were previously dispersed across departments, by forming and operating a dedicated 'Illegal Report Damage Report Task Force (TF)'.
