Yangsan City Invites Nominations for 2021 Gender Equality Award Candidates
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam announced on the 21st that it is accepting nominations for the Gender Equality Award candidates until July 16.
Eligibility for candidates includes citizens, institutions, and organizations who have resided or been active in Yangsan City for more than one year as of the recommendation date, and must be recommended by the head of an eup, myeon, or dong district or the head of an institution or organization.
The recommendation criteria are organizations' representatives (members) or institutions (employees) who have contributed to spreading a culture of gender equality and promoting women's rights by improving discriminatory consciousness and practices, protecting women's human rights, enhancing their status, and expanding social participation through civic or social group activities.
The awardees will be finally selected after verifying the achievements of the nominated candidates through procedures including the Gender Equality Committee and the Public Evaluation Committee meetings, and the awards will be presented at the Gender Equality Week (September 1?7) commemorative ceremony.
