Kumho Tire Joins the 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge'
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Kumho Tire announced on the 16th that it will participate in the 'Traffic Safety Relay Challenge' to strengthen adherence to traffic safety rules in school zones.
The Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge is a campaign promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety since December last year to raise social awareness about preventing traffic accidents in school zones. To establish a culture of child safety, the campaign features traffic safety slogans selected through a public idea contest and is conducted in a relay challenge format where participants post traffic safety campaign videos on their SNS accounts and nominate the next participant.
Kumho Tire, nominated by the previous participant S-Oil's character 'Gudoil,' shared the slogan "Stop at 1, Look both ways at 2, Wait for 3 seconds, Prevent accidents at 4" on Facebook and YouTube using the characters 'Ttoro' and 'Roro.'
Lee Kang-seung, Executive Director of Global Marketing at Kumho Tire, said, "We expect this campaign to greatly help in educating children about traffic safety," adding, "Kumho Tire will continue to do its best as a company responsible for the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and children."
