Benchmarking Technology for Smart Factory Implementation in Manufacturing on the 15th

The second-generation leaders managing small and medium-sized enterprises established by their parents in Busan visited the Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) Manufacturing Robot-based VR/SI Center (Director Ryu Hyun-je) on the 15th.
What piqued their curiosity the most was the robots. They inquired about benchmarking, related company development, and technology commercialization support.
At 4 p.m. that day, the Manufacturing Robot-based VR (Virtual Reality)/SI (System Integration) Center in Building 11, Dongmyung Hall on campus was filled with eager eyes.
While listening to explanations about the center’s operational education programs, the University Innovation Research Park (I-URP) project, corporate collaboration programs, and corporate workforce training programs, they also asked pointed questions.
The tour of the established equipment and facility systems, along with experiences of 4th industrial revolution-related technologies such as digital twins, added to the enjoyment of the campus tour.

This benchmarking tour was organized by the Busan Employers Federation (Chairman Shim Sang-gyun) to provide various learning opportunities for second-generation small and medium-sized enterprise leaders in the Busan area, targeting CEOs and key executives of BCG (Business Success Research Association) member companies.
Jeong Ki-ho, Director of Industry-Academia Cooperation Group, said, “We plan to operate various practical education programs, including technology education on smart process-related software and hardware, and specialized engineer training to nurture experts in the robot VR/SI field.”
Kim Ki-joo, Director of the I-URP Project Group, said, “Through the I-URP project, we support corporate technical research and testing certification by utilizing shared equipment and dedicated spaces. We help participating companies create high added value and good jobs through joint R&D activities, technology transfer, and commercialization.”

Center Director Ryu Hyun-je said to the Busan Employers Federation member companies, “To support the introduction of smart factories by local companies promoted by the Manufacturing Robot ICC, we will assist in improving manufacturing competitiveness and increasing sales through introducing the facilities established within the center and benchmarking.”
