Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-koo Foundation Art Village Project Master Series, Kim Mae-ja's
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation announced on the 14th that the master series of the Art Village Project, master Kim Maeja's 'Deep Summer,' was successfully held on the 12th and 13th at the CJ Towol Theater stage in the Seoul Arts Center.
Following the 2019 performance 'Two Loves' by master singer Ahn Sook-sun and the 2020 'Kim Deok-su Jeon (傳)' by master Kim Deok-su, Kim Maeja, selected as the third master, created a stage in the 'Deep Summer' performance that shared the unique breath of Korean dance with the audience, communicating and empathizing while sharing the fragrance and elegance of tradition.
Composed of four parts?Part 1: The Birth of the Road, Part 2: Innate Dance - Difference and Repetition, Part 3: Magical Coat, and Part 4: Deep Summer?the performance lasted 100 minutes without intermission.
Master Kim said, "I wanted to show the audience a dance that reflects Kim Maeja's life," adding, "In these difficult times due to COVID-19, I hope the Deep Summer stage can provide a moment of rest and comfort, even if only briefly."
