According to the legal community on the 14th, the Criminal Division 7 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Byung-seok) summarily indicted Lim at the end of last month with a fine of 1 million won. A summary indictment is a procedure in which the prosecution requests a fine or penalty through written review instead of a formal trial. However, if the parties involved or the court raise objections, the case is transferred to a formal trial.

Lim is accused of borrowing 25 million won from a woman in her 30s whom he knew around July last year and failing to repay 15 million won of it. Lim joined the Haitai Tigers (now KIA Tigers) in 1995 and played for 24 years before retiring in 2019.
